Hybrid Cars - Best Value?

Question:
I am considering purchasing either a Toyota Prius hybrid or a Honda Civic Hybrid. Of just these two, which is more expensive and which has higher gas mileage? Looking for a commute car.

Answers:

Trying to buy a dependable car.?

Hybrids are somewhat overrated. If you're commuting, a hybrid really won't help you much unless you do a lot of city driving. If most of your commute is highway, I'd get a regular Civic and save on the premium you have to pay for the hybrid plus the cost of a new battery when it comes time to replace that.

How can I sell my car that I still have payments left on with Ford.?

The answer above mine is correct to some extent unless you live in an area where you wish to use the HOV lanes with only 1 person in the car. I know in the Wash. DC area this could save you up to 1hr each way.
