Custom Clemens Mercedes?? Does such a thing exist?

One of my old friends had a mercedes custom built. He said it was a "Clemens" Mercedes. I have not been able to find any info on that particular type of Mercedes. Does such a thing exist? I thought it was compared to as how "Saleen" is to the Ford Mustang.
