Why? You'll get massive rebates and deals on these things cause few want them. You can walk away with a brand new one, decked out with bed, side windows, TV, playstation, etc for like $16,000 if not even less if you really push and shop around.

It has more than 3 rows and can handle up to 10 people at times. The engines are more durable, last longer, see a mechanic less and parts are about the cheapest out there. It will ride better than any SUV or Minivan ever will and due to its size and weight, few items will hurt it in an accident and it handles weather pretty well.

Personally..I'd spend the 16k for a conversion van and then the easy 15k I saved over buying an SUV.I'd go get myself a little used sports car that I can enjoy and/or my spouse. If you gotta be the "school bus" why not have some fun on the side as well.
