Question:
did you have to make a down payment? and how do they determine your monthly payments?
Answers:
Could anybody in the UK give me a working Peugot 205 for free??
My roommate bought a car through Enterprise. She didn't have to make a down payment, but she had to finance it through the local bank as Enterprise does not provide financing. Your monthly payment would be based on the interest rate and number of years the loan lasts.I am not sure how it works, but it probably isn't a good idea. If you stop and think about it, they are selling their rental cars. It doesn't matter how new they are, when someone rents a car, they basically try to test them to the extreme. Any rental car will probably be worn out, even though it might not seem like it.
When a leased vehicle is returned after the lease is complete, who owns the vehicle? The dealership?
No I haven't but my Nissan Altima was a rental car and it was one of most reliable used cars I've ever owned. So don't think all rentals are crap. How much would a used 2000 Honda Accord?
But I've heard Enterprise also sells trade-ins so I'd be careful about buying from them. Unless you can get a sweet deal with a long warranty, I'd stay away from them.
I know of someone here in Miami, FL. who is hired (behind the scenes, obviously) by major car rental companies to reduce the mileage in their cars prior to selling them. When he goes there, he spends 8 hours a day doing it.
No one will ever admit to this, naturally... and I'm not mentioning any Rental Car Company names either.
