WAY too many problems on the earlier cars, and you may find the cheapest thing you ever did to the car was buy it...these are VERY expensive cars to repair.

the 928 was really the AMC Gremlin of Porsche automobiles. They are a pile of junk, and try getting cheap parts imported from Germany. Go with a 911 if you go early 80s Porsche. I would offer up a couple hundred, then part it out and sell the parts on eBay. You might be able to turn a profit, but I doubt it. I am not trying to beat down your choice of car, but you would be much happier with a different choice. Good luck to you.
