I want to buy a motorcycle but plan on paying with cash, how much will a dealer lower price for cash?

Question:
I know with cars, you can get a better deal paying with cash, is the same true with bikes too, and what kind of percentage can be knocked off?

Answers:

My car salesman is out today so should I go?

Not much discount, but it varies from dealer to dealer. The cash just shows them you're serious and they could walk away with a sale. I paid cash for my 2006 GSXR1000, but they didn't really discount the price much, I had to deal like crazy to get them to go down, since when I got it, it was still high demand for that bike.
Its true they make more money off of the finance charges and stuff so they want to get you to finance. Good luck.

A good used car or truck for a girl?

Different dealers will offer different prices. But remember that they don't make that much profit from cash sales compared to credit sales plus interest. So don't expect a lot of enthusiasm in discounting.

Buy car from dealer in Massachusets: Total price + tax?

Dealers don't prefer cash deals. why would anyone think that? Financing brings them extra profit, from kickbacks (from banks) to adding in 1-2% to the loan for themselves.
