8% is not bad at all. However, it's not the very best out there right now. My boyfriend got his car loan through a credit union and he got a 5% rate on a 4 year loan. A good website to compare interest rates is www.bankrate.com. If you know your credit score then that website will give you a good idea as to whether or not you got a good deal. Typically, people with new or not so good credit will pay a 13-19% interest rate.
