No one shops for cars when the weather is bad. And most shop for cars during the middle of the day. The dealership has to pay taxes on the inventory left over on Jan. 1. So they are motivated to reduce the inventory as much as possible. The only draw back is you need to buy from that dealer's stock & drive off with it that night -- not have a car brought in from another dealership. This takes a little work & will power, but you'll get the BEST DEAL, guaranteed!

The mfg will raise rebates, or offer dealer cash when there inventory is large, and pull it when inventory is small. And that has nothing to do with the time of year.The other side of the coin is: When will the dealers discount more? That will in fact happen during model year changes, or the end of the month. But remember, dealer discounts are small potatoes compared to mfg sponsored programs.
