Looking to release a new car.?

Question:
I am currently at the end of my 2 year lease, in which I got a deal that is unheard of because the dealer wrote down a lower price than advertised and I took advantage of it. Anyways, i am looking to get a Jeep grand cherokee, and I have talked to a few different dealers, and most of the prices are arounf $280-$310. I am trying to get a lease in the $250 price range. Its only about a $30- $60 difference. How would I go about getting a dealer to get the payments down to the $250 price range without paying anymore upfront.

Answers:

What would generally be cheaper; UK cars or imported cars?

1. Just tell them what you are willing to pay and make sure you leave your phone number with the sales person. Walk away! Dealerships know that they typically can't make a sale if the customer isn't there.

I'm in the market to buy or lease a car. I've always heard leasing is a bad idea, why is that?

Other things to try are,
2. See if the dealership has an internet sales department, sometimes the internet sales department can get you a lower price if you go online.
3. Try going through Costco or AAA. They have deals worked out with dealerships and you may be able to get a better deal through these companies. You'll have to pay for membership though. (You can always find a friend who has membership to these places)
4. If you don't care too much about color, check out the advertisements in your local newspaper. Dealerships are always advertising good deals in the paper.

What's the cheapest state to buy new vehicles?

Chrysler/Jeep had an overstock a few months back. Don't know if that is still the case, but you should be able to get the dealership to work with you on your price range.

Why do Honda and Toyota have high resale values?

my only suggestion is to see if you can find a 2006 model..im pretty sure that you arent going to get them to drop the monthly payment without much more upfront on a 2007 model

A 2001-2004 Mustang GT good for a 16 year old guy?

Damn your a cheap skate, maybe you can wash cars at the dealership until you have paid off the difference.

Hae you bought anything from Hillsboro Auto Mart? And if you know where to get a cheap reliable car, lemme kno

Once all the rebates are applied and the dealer has discounted the vehicle all he can, it's down to the finance company's table of rates and residuals and out of the dealers control. Someone mentioned leasing an '06 - I know you can't lease an 06 through GMAC anymore, I don't know if Chrysler is the same.

Daewoo lansa?

So, short of an up front deposit, you're probably not going to move the dealer enough to get the price where you want it. Sorry...

Which car should i buy?

Lease a one year old vehicle. Yes, it is used, but it will only be three years old when you get rid of it, still new enough to be reliable and look good. I saved $120/mo when I leased a used one, but the deals you have been offered sound better than mine. That was several years ago, however.

What should i get as my first car?

Well, you got lucky the first time. Don't be too greedy!! Instead of going for a 2 year lease, go for a 3 year lease and your payments will be lower.
