i bought my car with a private plate on it but am hoping to sell it, how do i go about getting my cars original plate to put back on it?? and what is the best way to sell my private plate?? thanks...x

you cant get back the original plates and you cant sell the ones you have. you can only get new ones. go to the tag registration office have you been there yet? you should have because that's how you register it in your name. if you haven't you are driving illegal

When you transfer the "cherished" number from your car, the DVLA will probably (but they cannot guarantee this) reinstate the original number. They did on my last car.
