Can anyone suggest a first time car for a teenager(17) whose just passed their test.?
The prime focus would be, how accessible do you need the 3rd row to be. Ford's 3rd rows are actually useable for adults on the Explorer and Expedition. Both those vehicles, use Independent Rear Suspensions which frees up quite a bit of leg room and space, that it actually allows those vehicles to sit people in decent comfort without having their knees hit their face. And the 3rd row has a power/fold features which makes it dissapear into the floor. Why are there so many Pruises still on the lots at the dealerships?
That's if you wish to take the SUV route. Now, the negatives will be that it's not very fuel efficient if your looking for that...but because of that, you might find good bargains out there because most people are migrating to "cross-overs". And yes there's other competitiors, but really...step into the rear of their SUV's, and it's no contest.
How much can I expect to receive if I sell my 1978 Datsun?
As for vans, the Oddysey will be the happy medium but after 15 recalls, I have a hard time recommending it...it's the dirty little secret they don't wish you to know... same as with the BMW X5, who would have thought right?
There's the Ford Freestyle which is a Crossover. It's very fuel efficienct with it's 3.0L V6, and this year it gets a new name Taurus X, which a larger more powerful engine, and many other new toys included, also available in AWD. And yes, the 3rd row is decently sized.
Buying cars that are far away?
GM has the new Crossovers the GMC Arcadia, and Saturn Outlook, which just debuted and seem to be getting many positive reviews. These are car based crossovers that replace the RWD Trailblazer truck based SUV's.
If you want something smaller, van-like, there's the Mazda5 which is getting many positive reviews as well. It has a 4cylinder engine, and it's a smaller van-like vehicle which seats 6, also with a fold/dissapear 3rd row seat and it starts at just $19K which I think is a great deal.
What if the car dealership wants to break the contract?
But overall there's many vehicles with 3rd row seating. It's all how they handle it. Lexus GX470 they require you to fold it and place it against the sides which is sort of counterproductive. Most others have hardly any leg space. Some require you to remove the head-rest if you fold them. The new Tahoe requires you to remove the seats OUT of the vehicle (major oversight).
I want a car for nothing more than $5000. My ZIP code is 29607...Can anyone help?
So you might need to do some research prior and play with some vehicles. I usually go to CarMax, and that way I have a bunch of vehicles I can look at, all in the same place before I move on to pick one that I'll go to a regular dealership to buy.
How can I purchase a car for my father in Liberia and have a minimal risk of being scammed?

Infiniti G35 Coupe or wait for the 2008 Infiniti G37?

Honda Odyssey might be a good compromise for you. It gets around 22 miles per gallon in mainly local driving, can comfortably fit 7, and it has surprisingly good acceleration for a mini van (better than many cars). There are many choices in SUV's that seat 7 or 8, including a top of the line Mercedes ML350.
Where can I buy cheap older cars that still run good?
In my experience, the quality of the Chevrolet is a bit higher than Ford when it comes to SUV's, but then again (disclaimer) I do all the tows for GM in my area.
Has anyone ever used an auto broker to buy a car?
There's like five SUVs that DON'T have a third-row-seat. The only ones w/ third rows I'd recommend are the Ford Expedition, Explorer, Freestyle, the Chevy Suburban, (not the Tahoe), the Land Rover LR3, Toyota Sequoia, and the Mercedes-Benz GL450. Most other SUV third rows are for 7 yrs and under.More Questions & Answers ...
