Is a 1993 SC400 Lexus too old?

I've been looking at a 93 Lexus SC400 with about 104k miles. My current car is a 1999 Eddie Bauer Explorer V6. Is this a good trade? They are about the same price. Even though the Lexus is older wouldn't it be more reliable? What are some things to look for?

SC400 is an awesome vehicle. One of the best luxury coupes ever built! It can easily go 300k miles with regular maintenance and belt & water pump replaced every 90k miles.

Should I sell my vehicle?

104k miles is very very low. most I've seen have over 200k miles. With such low mileage it could fetch around $7000 on ebay. Explorer is a piece of CRAP.

fords in general are hard on fuel.
i think it would be a good trade.
Lexus is a Toyota and Toyota's are great vehicles probably the best.
very reliable but a little more to fix when they do fail.
your EXPLODER has got the 4.0L engine.
they have problems with the lifters failing and making lots of noise.
i own a 92 4runner and is the best vehicle i have ever owned,
i have owned it for three years and have done an axle seal and water pump.
oh ya and i drive the hell out of it and its lifted with 35 inch tires.

just make sure you get a pre purchase inspection at you mechanic shop just to see what if anything is wrong with it
