I was looking into buying a newer SUV my choices are
2000-2003 Nissan Pathfinder,Toyota 4Runner,Isuzu Trooper and the Honda Passport
I seem to kind of like them all and I was wondering which would be the best choice and why?

I would go with either the 4Runner (2003 only) or Pathfinder. My dad has a 2003 pathfinder and he has never had any problems with it, and its pretty easy to work on. Both the 4Runner and Pathfinder handle well, have a smooth ride and good acceleration. As far as quality goes I have heard both good and bad for both Nissan and Toyota so it's really just up to your opinion. The 2003 year for the 4Runner has the model redesign and is a much better looking vehicle than the older models. 2000-2003 Pathfinders all have the same basic body style.The Isuzu and Honda are not worth buying, the trooper has just been a long list of problems and the passport is not really made for any overroading, just a street car.
Nissan and Isuzu are not options because they have a rep of poor reliability, Honda's are good but the rodeo is an Isuzu trooper anyway. 4runner always has been a good long running rig, not so capable but durable

i personaly would get the ford excursion, tons of power, tons of room, solid front axle.

Do you want to take your SUV off-roading, or are you mainly planning to drive your SUV on road only? If you plan to take your car off-road, i think the Toyota 4runner and Nissan Pathfinder might be a better choice, maybe even the nissan xterra. But the pilot is more of an on road car in my opinion, and if you want a SUV whose primary purpose is to drive on road, you might want one with more comfort like the Honda Pilot, or Toyota Highlander, Nissan Murano, or if you want a more luxerious one, how bout the Lexus RX350, or Infiniti FX35/45 or BMW or Mercedes (these cars weren't made for off-road in the first place). But I would take the Toyota 4Runner to be a better choice becuase it is more reliable than the others, and its handles both on and off road pretty well, aslong as you don't trash the car off road, i think you'll be fine with that car.I don't know if my answer was of much help, haha. Get yourself a Jeep.I think you should get the Nissan pathfinder are the Toyota 4runner because both gives good mileage and both have it's on unique style and the price is right even though the 4 runner is up their in prices but both are worth the money. The Honda, stay away because they suck! two of my friends had one of those SUV's and both got in a wreck over the same problems.

Toyota 4Runner. Great reliability record, and it was redesigned in 2003, so if you get that year, you can get the new model, while the others had not been redesigned in a while.I've owned the pathfinder and the Toyota 4 runner.Both are excellent and reliable. Even though i have excellent insurance rating ( no tickets no accidents) the insurance on the Toyota 4 runner was much higher than tha pathfinder,It seems everybody likes to seal the Toyota 4 runner so it costs more to insure it. Those are the only two that I'd have so i can't comment on the others.
