My husband bought a car with a salvage title and omg it was a real pain in the butt to get it fixed to a correct title. We had to go to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol Office in OKLAHOMA CITY to get it examined.its probably 2 different cars welded together

NO if its frame was bent or sometimes something smaller they can put a salvaged title on it but it wont have any trade in value so bewhere
well man...I know a guy and his car was "totalled" and had 'fram damage', it really didn't beacuse the junk yard guy lied to him to get his car cheaper and sell it down the road...although it did have a salvage title...another guy looked at it and said it didn't have frame damage.the owner just gave it to him. all he had to do to it was replace the door, but for a free car he gets 40 mpg and no engine problems. its a civic...but yeah they're not all messed up they just need a good look from someone that knows what he/she is doing...
It depends on what totaled the car in the first place and who did the repairs. A lot of cars are written as total losses by Insurance companies because it is less expensive to replace it than it is the repair it. But if you can get one cheap enough and are mechanically inclined to do the repairs yourself, you can get a very good car for a lot less than you can buy one for. If it has been repaired take it to a professional repair person and get an open minded opinion before you buy it.
