Classic Bronco's. Pre-77 are great rigs, but hard to find in good condition. The 78-79 Bronco's are the best of the line IMO, they had the solid axle Dana 44 in the front from the factory. Everything from 80 up was a TTB Dana 44, and they're just not as rugged as the solid axle rigs are, most serious off road guys with late model Bronco's and F-150 swap out the TTB with a solid axle from the Pre-79 Ford's.

Buy a 4x4 where they wouldn't use it for plowing. I live in NY and the majority of 4x4's ars so abused that they cost a ton of cash to fix them from plowing. Also, when you plow, it tends to twist the frames of the trucks. That is what happens when you slam into a frozen pile of snow at 20 miles an hour.
