What do folks think about the toyota MR2 as a used sports car?
For the first four years of a car's life, all they do is depreciateCan I get car finance if i have bad credit rating?
As per my logic, buy a car when it is less than 10000 miles and after the history is checked for no issues. In other words buy it from the richie riches who get bored of their cars fast. Not brand new, too big a loss in value. Also don't buy first year models. Wait until it's been out a couple of years and then buy it used at a year or two old.
What is a good car for a family road trip?
Best is traditionally slow months such as November and December and end of the month when dealers are trying to fill their quota.New Van Merc, Hyondai Toyota,VW, or Ford ?
I believe it is best to buy a car that is new or one year out from a dealership because, it will still be covered under a warranty. Although it may be more expensive, if there are any problems that warranty should/would cover it. Plus you have the piece of mind that you are buying new and that there are no problems with the car. That is of course you can afford a new car, if not, then always have the car checked out by a mechanic before purchasing.I have been Managing Automotive Dealerships for 12 years, and I personally buy New, untitled dealer loaner cars.
Trying to get my money back on a car i never drove?
I purchase ones that have been used by the service dept. as customer loaners, have less than 6000 miles on them, and I can buy them well below the dealer cost. (This is how I buy my Saabs).
On my truck, I purchased it new because of the General Motors Employee Discount, but I would tend to purchase a low mileage, one year old used vehicle. You do not take the hit for depreciation, can purchase an extended warranty for less money since you are still under the New Vehicle Manufacturers Warranty, and someone else has already taken the hit on the car. You can thus purchase more car for your dollar.
I'm looking for a small truck. I have looked at both the Ford Ranger and Chevy S10s and Colorados.?
Once a vehicle is 2 years old, look closely at the cost verses miles, and consider how long you will be keeping it, and how many miles you will be putting on it.
