Whats a good car for a 16 year old driver that has good gas mileage?

All depends on what the dealer's invoice price is for that vehicle. Sometimes they'll show you, many times they won't. I've used Edmunds.com to figure out the dealer invoice and the negotiated prices on previous sales in my area. Print off your results and have them on hand to demonstrate to the salesperson that you did your homework and you can't be worked over.

Best place to get an auto loan. Not much credit.?

Also, look for rebates for your desired vehicle. And, if you have a trade-in, negotiate it separately. Only bring in the trade-in and rebates _after_ you negotiated a price. And never bring up the issue of financing until all of that is done. Nothing worse than a salesperson mixing up the whole deal and you find out later that things you thought were taken out were added back in.

I would think at least a tenth. Dont take the first deal they offer go back and let them dicker prices with you.

Can I buy a new car for $22,000 and only pay around $330.00 a month?

if you are looking for a new car, check the yahoo autos and it tells you the dealer's invoice price. but used it is hard to tell, if you can get 10% off sticker, then good for you

End of car deal - so I sell?

Well it mostly depends on how good your credit score is. THey go off there. Good credit = your gonna make the payments. So they will work with you more. I'd start 7gs under asking.

Any1 know where to buy a good old skool box chevy caprice?

Check out the book value of the car. There will be a difference between the sticker and the BV. Take into account the mileage and condition of the car. There's room to negotiate on new and used cars but, it's easier to make a case if you have found what comparable models are going for. Let them know you would prefer other these offers if they can not cut a better deal.

Why should the salesman knock off anything ? When you go into the grocery store, does the clerk knock off anything ? Does the gas station knock off anything ? Pay the salesman the asking price and you will sleep much better at night.

Does DMV buy cars from people?

Since you are not financing with the dealer, don't expect any HUGE discounts. They have to make a profit somewhere. Dealers make more profit in finance than they do in selling the product.

Also, contrary to popular belief, there is not THOUSANDS of dollars of mark up. The typical mark up on a NEW car is less than 7%.
