All depends on what the dealer's invoice price is for that vehicle. Sometimes they'll show you, many times they won't. I've used Edmunds.com to figure out the dealer invoice and the negotiated prices on previous sales in my area. Print off your results and have them on hand to demonstrate to the salesperson that you did your homework and you can't be worked over.Best place to get an auto loan. Not much credit.?
Also, look for rebates for your desired vehicle. And, if you have a trade-in, negotiate it separately. Only bring in the trade-in and rebates _after_ you negotiated a price. And never bring up the issue of financing until all of that is done. Nothing worse than a salesperson mixing up the whole deal and you find out later that things you thought were taken out were added back in.
