I WANT TO BUY SWIFT DIESEL BUT PEOPLE SAY THAT FIAT PUNTO WOULD B WORTH WAITING FOR...(IT"S DUE TO BE RELEASE IN INDIA)...SHOULD I GO WITH SWIFT OR DO I WAIT FOR PUNTO.PLZ HELP ME OUT...

The diesel Swift is a great car, and even if the Punto is launched, it will have the same engine. Also, knowing that Maruti service is available everywhere, and is usually good, which can hardly be said for Fiat service , and also Maruti resale value being better than Fiat, I personally think the Swift will be a better buy. Fiat has always made good cars, right from the Uno to the Palio, but has always been let down by some pathetic service.

Both are good cars, from what i have heard they are releasing the Punto in a "saloon version".. so that is something you have to keep in mind. Both are using the same engine. I guess it would take awhile for the punto to be launched. why not get a swift and drive around till the Punto arrives? :)
