Sounds like the 4 barrel chrombulator is not picking up signals from the thermo nuclear transmissionary switch located just to the left of the ignition washer coupling, this causes the doohickey to be unresponsive and the dingleberry goes on to default the shimmying over-ride on the differentiary lock.
