As far as I am a ware the owner of the car can buy it back at the time the claim is settled. The cars then go to a scrap yard where people buy them cheaply and repair them.

What ya think about 07 kia rio for 8900. yes or no?

Insurance companies are not in the business of selling cars. The cars they total out are taken to a recycling lot and parts sold off them to recoup their losses. Sometimes an insurance company will allow the owner of the vehicle to buy it back, but usually when they do that they also issue a salvage title. Bottom line, if he claims he bought cheap cars from insurance companies, he's not being truthful.

Can anyone give me suggestions on a name for my new car?

id stay well clear of doin this, the only reason the insurance company sell these on is to recoup some of their losses.you might get the car at right price but if its accident damaged ie cat c or cat d you then have to repair it,get it passed to a high standard to say its been repaired correctly, these test cost a minimum of 200 quid each time even when failed.then when you want to sell it on you have to tell the new buyer its history and you will only got half of its market value at the most. im talkin from experience so treat it like a woman with aids and give it a wide berth

How long does a car dealer have to find a lender for a customer?

Insurance company's use a range of vehicle auction houses that specialise in damaged repairable cars. Auctions are held at least fortnightly, and nearly every one has a website which you can see the details on.
