Question:
I am a 20-year-old college student looking to purchase a "new" car. I don't want a brand new one, but something with under 50,000 miles. There are so many choice out there, how can I pick a good car? I want one with a small engine but some power, good gas mileage, and that doesn't come with a large price tag. And reliability is a must.

toyota or honda... plenty of quality cars that are affordable and will last.i own a repair shop and the one i recommend the most is the Nissan sentra they are very safe, and also sporty, but cheap to operate also,i own one and would recommend one to anyone who wants a car that will last good, i see those every day with over 300 thousand on them, still going strong,so it just another one to consider when your out looking around for one, good luck hope this helps.
I work at a Chevy dealership Toyotas and Hondas are good cars but low mileage Japanese cars are gonna come with a fairly hefty price as compared to there domestic counter parts. You can get a low mileage Cavalier that is pretty economical and still fairly new(2004) for 5,000-7,000 dollars. You really can't beat the track record of a cavalier they Have been a good car since there introduction in the '80's.

Honda and Toyota are almost always the most reliable, dependable cars. You can get a certified model, that is 2-3yrs old, they have a great extended warranty, and you get a great car for the money. Mileage is good on both, Accords and Camry's seem to be most popular, however, other models are just as good.More Questions & Answers ...
