I am desperately trying to find a reasonable car locally and have failed miserably. The problem is my budget is £500-£600 ish. Ideally I would like a Vitara or similar and there seems plenty everywhere else in the UK but not round here. Can anyone help, I am open to suggestions. I am paying cash.

Us be in a nigh price harea round yer, Uvver thun the Tewkesbury Car Auctions, ther ent nowher but Twigworth breakers sometimes have bargains as do Cleeve (Julian) car breakers though their are usually stolen recovereds needin' a bit o' work.
Otherwise Birmingham and Bristol are substantially cheaper if ewe can get ther tav a butchers.

Try looking in your local paper. Or ask a local dealer if there are any auction sites nearby to attend (but if you do take somebody who knows about cars with you for advice)
