Question:
Hi,
I am looking into a 2000 Honda Cr-V SE. It has 63,000 miles and is in excellent condition, both inside and out. The dealer is asking $10,995
There is another Cr-V, except it is a 2001. It is an SE and has 81,000 miles on it. It is in good condition, but there is a large scuff mark on the back wheel. The dealer is asking $11,495
The obvious choice is the 2000, but do you think the price is reasonable and that buying a seven year old car is okay? My budget is somewhat tight, but I also want a reliable car.
Thanks
Answers:
Both are way too much. For $11500 you can get the 2002 with newer styling and more powerful engine.
2000 shouldn't cost more than $7000. check autotrader.com
For The Price maybe try to deal lower with him maybe to 9 995
Has anyone tried selling their car back to the dealer, after receiving a buy back letter?
and if he lets it for 9 995 or 8 995 then get that deal if not if he wont budge then i suggest trying another used auto maybe if you could go to irs or other auto auctions you could get a killer deal
Im paying high interset on my car loan.is there anyway i could decrease it?
Go with a 2007 Nissan versa its a good car and you can get one brand new for the same price with a good warrantyThe 2000 is the better deal because it has less than the average amount of miles and there may be hidden damage to the rear of the 2001 because of the "scuff mark". Hondas are very reliable cars and if you maintain them properly (regular tune ups, oil changes, etc) they will last for a long time.
