I am assuming your are talking about sales tax. It depends on your state/provincial tax laws.which car is best for a college student?

WHAT!Need info re car loan from bank?
That makes no sense you don't pay taxes on the car every month. You pay sales taxes when you change the registration in your name.
can i get a car loan at the age of 17?
Obviously, taxes on a $100 sale would be much less than a $1500 sale. That is simple math. Just find out the tax rate (in Texas its about 8.25%). Which would mean you pay $8.25 for taxes on a $100 car.
I SUGGEST you get the person who sold the car to you to sign a piece of paper stating they sold it to you for $100.
I am interested in Palio Diesel. How you guys rate this car?
Sales tax is paid once, not monthly.I think you got the car for 1500 and want to claim you paid 100.Think about it,at least claim half of what you paid because you are going to look suspicious only claiming 100.More Questions & Answers ...
