get a decent induction kit and if the car has a cat get a free flowing exhaust that should give you 5-10bhp more. Give the car a good service (i.e change the plugs oil etc). If your dragging the car you could also inflate the tires to say 50 psi, less tyre in contact with the road will give you a better quarter mile time but hinder your launch so you must weigh this up, grip over terminal speed.
