Question:
Hi. I want to buy an SUV...or some kind of car like that. I get so many different stories from people. Some are telling me, "Never buy American cuz it's junk.", while others are telling me, "German or American are the best!". I have had all the makes that you mention, believe me you can't beat the Japanese. German cars are very overated, the quality on American cars is very poor, although, they are getting better. At present I drive a Camry. Solara SLE.My boyfriend put a deposit on a car to buy from a private owner, We ran a carfax report....?
This question is simply to subjective. If you get a thousand replies to your question, you will have a thousand different opinions. I can only offer my opinion - I have always bought Toyota trucks. I was an auto tech when I bought my first one in 1985. I drove every kind of truck that came to my shop for a year before choosing, and I have not been without a Toyota since. Recommendation: get a 4 wheel drive. They serously "rock".K.BEEN WORKING ON CARS FOR THIRTY PLUS YEARS WILL GIVE MY JUDGMENT. GERMAN CARS FINE - UNTIL THEY BRAKE DOWN. THEY ARE VERY EXPENSIVE TO WORK ON AND PARTS ARE COSTLY. HARD TO FIND GOOD SHOP TO WORK ON GERMAN CARS. USA - OK. WHAT CAN I SAY - THEY KEEP ME IN BUSINESS. JAPAN BEST DEAL - VERY RELIABLE. YOU WILL GET MANY YEARS OF SERVICE JUST KEEP UP WITH MAINTENANCE.
And still no one answered your question. I'd go for the Japanese. their SUV's are quite good, specially the Toyota's, but that is my own opinion.
Is there a web site you can go to find out what steps are necessary to sell a car private party?
American cars had lower reliability than Japanese cars. But there cheaper and live up to exspectations . European cars cost more. Get what you can afford. If I could I would buy a Toyota 4-runner.where can i find chevrolet, caprice cars for low prices.?
Go with Japanese or Korean (Hyundai). Toyotas are actually now built in the USA. They are well-designed, well-made, and represent good value for the dollar. The best value, I think, is offered by Hyundai. They offer a 10-year, 100 thousand-mile warranty, which is transferable, as well as roadside assistance. Is the new GMC Acadia a Good SUV to purchase?
My answer is Japanese cars. They are the most reliable cars and offer the best value for money. You can go for years at times with a Toyota without repairs being required. On the fuel economy front too, Japanese cars beat their American and German counterparts.I need a vehicle to seat at least 9 - What should I get?
At one time, around the 70s, American cars were the pits. The factories had the mind set that "If WE build it , THEY will buy it". Unfortunately, by the time they "began" to wake up and look behind them, from their IVORY TOWER, foreign automobiles had already taken 30% of the American market. For the first time they woke up to the harsh reality of COMPETITION, got off their smug butts and begin to make decent cars.I totaled my toyota 4runner. I'm wondering the best way to get the most value out of it?
I would say, at this time, the American, Japanese and German cars are all about neck and neck. I wouldn't be afraid to buy from either of the companies. I think the choice, will depend on just what you want and the job it will have to do.
When I go buy a car do I have to have "cash" for my down?
Good luck. Pops
What should I do about my car? Details below.?
If you want an SUV actually capable of going off-road, buy a BRITISH Land-Rover. http://driving.timesonline.co.uk/article...which r ur favourite websites?
Japanese....... are very reliable, TOYOTA's are mean't to be almost indestructable...... though Japanese cars tend to feel like they were designed by an accountant, and lack the character of American & European rivals.
Should I buy an extended warranty?
American SUV's...... well, they've got the looks and a bit of character, but rather fuel thirsty....... and word has it that JEEP off-roaders aren't as reliable as they look.
What happens to the loan on a car that has been repossessed?
German...... well, the BMW X3 is said to be the only off-road car not capable of going off-road..... and thus got a bit of a kicking when it was reviewed on TOP GEAR..... I believe the exact description was along the lines of don't buy it unless your so certifiably insane you wake up in the morning thinking that you're an Onion. :-) lol
Not sure about the BMW X5...... but of course normal BMW road cars are THE best.
The Porsche CAYENNE...... from what I gather is awesome to drive, but got slated on TOP GEAR for being damn ugly.
I owe on my 2000 cavalier .should i trade it in?
The Mercedes ML320..... supposed to be a VAST improvement over the previous model, which came bottom of TOP GEAR's reliability & customer satisfaction survey...... and most of the rest of their range haven't been up to scratch for the past few years, so Mercedes have had to cut their profit margins by a couple of billion $$$'s to get things back up to scratch.
Generally, if you want a reliable regular car (not an SUV), go for either:
Subaru, Volkswagen, Toyota, Honda, or a Ford Focus.
