In market for a used vehical, please Help?
If $2K is your budget, it doesn't sound like too bad of a deal if it all checks out clear. Even though it's going to have obvious damage, you can still have a legitimate body shop check it out for you to insure its safety. Also, have a mechanic look at it as well to insure that there is no damage to the engine cradle or the engine itself, as well as the transmission since sometimes hard hits will misalign the drivetrain.Which is a better buy - Pajero or the Nissan x-trail (base model without sunroof etc )?
And I'd still try to knock off another $500 in your negotiations. That would allow you a decent start for replacing the airbags (which I would strongly suggest). It's a pricy repair, so beware.
If the repairs have been done well, that car should still have a lot of life left in it. Focus' are not bad little cars. Dependable and great mileage. But if it doesn't check out, I'd have to say the savings aren't worth the diminished safety.
Where can I buy a new 4 or 5 year old new car in Los Angeles at rock bottom prices?
From a dealer's point of view, a salvage titled vehicle is basically worth 1/2 the wholesale value if its repair work has been done well. This is because of the lack of integrity of the vehicle as well as a long papertrail that goes along with selling one.
Which is better a Honda 2006 RC51 or a 2007 Hayabusa 1300?
No It's Not......... The Salvage title Mean's It Would Be Hard To Resell It And It Makes It Pretty Much Worthless. What is the best website to sell your car on?
Yeah, go for it. Test drive it fully first. Have a friend follow you and make sure it tracks straight and listen for vibrations.I'm a car buff I don't think that's a bad deal. If u don't mind not having air bags. But 4 2000 dollars u prob wont get a car that has bags any way Good buy
how much does a new car transmission cost?
Its more likely to be a "lemon" Ask yourself why they are selling it for $2000. Surely they don't want to lose money...Salvage titled card have problems that are a quick fix but major cost will pop up in a short time frame...for example if the frame has a crack you wont see it and replacing it when you find out will be more thatn 2000. Better safe than sorry...and therefore my reccomendation would be not to buy it.
It is required to have air bags for that year.
I would NEVER touch a car with a salvaged title.
Means it was totaled by insurance company and wasn't worth fixing to begin with.
Plus like someone else said , what about hidden problems that could show up later and then you would have problems, not to mention if you want to sell it.
