Some cars have longer histories of lasting several hundred thousand miles. Diesel Mercedes are one of those.Before you buy:
1. have it checked out by a mechanic that you choose.
2. know that it will require more monthly maintenance than a newer car.
3. know that it will probably only last a few years at best.

I would buy a truck with over 100,000 miles, but a car would be a tough choice, unless its in good shape, body wise. You have a budget and your thinking high miles fits your purse strings, A vehicle having 200K can be in better condition than one with 100K...it really comes down to you knowing the steps how to buy a used car and not ending up with a lemon.
