I just bought an used car, How do i get a pink slip? (california)?

I just bought an used car, and the seller gave me the pink slip(which has the seller's name), an application of change of ownership. I filled it out and gave all the document (including the pink slip) to the dmv staff. The staff changed the ownership of the car and took the old pink slip, but didnt give me any pink slip.
My question is that how do I get a new pink slip(which is under my name)? because without one, i cannot sell the car in the future.

The "Pink" comes in the mail, usually quite quickly nowadays. It's not pink anymore, but multicolored, sort of rainbow look to it.
