BMW 325 or 330 reliable??

Question:
I am thinking about purchasing a used 2005 or 2006 BMW 325 or 330 (they both have about 25,000 miles) and have a concern. I have heard that they are not very reliable, some of my friends have even said unreliable. However, I have somewhat discredited they're comments because none have never owned a BMW... but I still wonder. And then there have been others that swear by them. Who do I believe?

Does anyone have any insider information as to whether GM will offer 0% financing for ACADIA in the future?

Does anyone have any first-hand experience with BMW? How was it? What about the 05/06 models? Also, how would you describe the typical BMW driver-- do you think that thoe 25,000 miles could have been hell on the car?

I live in california and bought a car didnt know that we didnt have to smog it and put money in it to try to?

One more question. One was a 6-speed and the other was automatic... if there is a difference in performence/ reliability/ cost of ownership could you please let me know and if possible explain?

Is it normal for a car salesman to ask you for a copy of your pay stub, electric bill, and phone bill?

In my opinion, buying an automatic BMW is toolbag. If you are going to buy a driver's car like a Bimmer, it should be a stick.

2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee?

As for reliability, some of the E46/E90 3-series have had issues with VANOS failure. If you are looking for something cheap to maintain, I would be looking somewhere else than BMW (Honda/Toyota)

How do I write out a contract for selling my used car?

This is a great car. They are extremely reliable and a pleasure to drive. Most BMW owners are automobile enthusiasts and as such are very fussy with their cars. I would check all past service records first. Also, seems to me this car probably still is under manufacturers warranty. As for the transmission. I would opt for the 6 speed. Certainly more fun to drive and less likely to break down. Hope this helps you.

What is Vendor's Single Interest Insurance?

Does it say Honda, Toyota, Lexus or Acura anywhere on the car? NO? Then it's not reliable.

Is there any protection for used car buyers in Arkansas?

a bmw is a great car but maintainance can be high, it all depends on the quality of the BMW you pruchase, in this case there is no difference between 325 and 330 series. My aunt owns a BMW, get the tires changed when shes suppose to, gets the oil change when shes suppose to (not 2000 miles past the "next servie" sticker, which alot of people do) she brings it in everytime shes suppose to for maintainance, and nothing every went wrong with it (she owned it for 5 years already)
Some cars do tend to be unreliable but with good care they are reliable, just take care of the BMW and nothing bad will happen (or maybe just something minor, every car isnt perfect)

Crazy 88 Auto. Whats the catch?

A manual transmission car tends to last longer than and automatic, automatic cars more times than not ends up with transmission problems (and is much more difficult to install, so during the installation process, something may have gone wrong)

What vehicle should I buy?

Performance with a 6-speed manual is much better than an automatic since an automatic takes time to jump into gear when you demand it to (such as when you floor it, it may take about 2 seconds to shift up to the demanded power)

Previously Damaged Vehicle Title?

BUT a manual, especially if you have never driven one can stall out if you shift wrong or use the clutch wrong (but it usually wont cause harm to your transmission) its just kinda embarassing, and could be dangerous at high speeds. Also manuals will slide back alittle bit on a slope, so you have to react fast to get the clutch in and step on the petal or you may hit the person behind you.

Are motorcycles cheaper to buy than a car?

I am a huge fan of Toyota, but I have driven BMW's and totally get the appeal of owning one. BMWs are not inherently unreliable but do need some mechanical attention and care as the mileage adds up, if you want one, get one and follow all the service schedules.
