All three are good on gas and about the same price, you might look at what the car has to offer that's unique and solve your question, but I would go with the Accord for it's stable and the Junk yards aren't filled with them.
They are all good in the winter/snow, etc. Test drive them. We bought a CR-V and love it. Its safe, secure, holds a lot of stuff (good for bringing stuff to and from school) and it has a cooler built into the vehicle (in the back where the spare tire would go if it was not on the outside....) to keep water and food cool while you travel. There is also ample seating and storage space. The gas is not as bad as you would think (especially for a vehicle that size)...I hope you find one you like!
If you insist on buying Japanese, get a Mazda they will take the most abuse and mishaps while still getting the job done. I can not for the life of me figure why people buy honda/toyota/nissan, they are just a collection of stories kept alive by the Salespeople at the dealers....
