Should i buy used civic from main dealer or other dealers ?

Question:
other dealers (not necesarily car supermarkets) provide better prices then main dealers but seem more risky - or is this merely a psychological factor ?

What happens to the cars that people DON'T buy?

If i take a RAC like technician to test a car before i buy, is this still better to buy from main dealer ? their 12 month warranty is full of get-out clauses anyway, so what is the benefit ?

Main dealers give no extra benefit these days. The service can be nothing short of disgusting.
A Civic should be pretty much bullet-proof anyway, so buy private and save a bundle.
