My husband had our car converted as it is a 3litre v6 automatic which is very thirsty and as he was driving it to London everyday it made more sense as the gas is half the price of petrol. I have to admit that when he told me it was £1500 for the conversion i was not sure it was such a good idea but now having had it for 6 months i can honestly say i was wrong, the car runs and still pulls on the gas just the same as if you were driving it on petrol, to be honest apart from a light that tells you it is running on gas you would never know, infact you only need the petrol on our car to start it up as it can't start on gas, it kicks over when the engine has warmed up.. the only negative thing is that LPG stations are few and far between a problem which can be solved with Tom Tom as there is a program you can get that tells you where all the stations are...
The bottom line is that if we had the choice over again we would defiantly get it done..Hope that helps

There's only one downside that I know of; you can't take dual fuel car on the trains through the Channel Tunnel. Other than that, go for it, but please use a reputable company to do the conversion.
