Question:
I'm moving to Boston next fall, to attend Babson College.
Since Babson is 14 miles away from Boston, Im going to need a car, prefebably a truck, with a 4x4 drive(a must), since the T is too far away from Babson, and the commuter trail does not run enough.
Too much for a Nissan? w/ High mileage?
Im looking at a Land Rover Discovery, because its a good car, especially for the snow.
Im limited in budget, but I have found few choices in Miami, at the right price.
Buying a low mileage used car?
Im also considering also a Jeep Grand Cherokee. But i need some advice guys.
Answers:
can i sell my car to others if i received the car as a present?
Dont get a Land Rover Discovery. Its really expensive and its not that great for snow. There are many cheaper 4x4's out there. They include:
Toyota Rav4
Jeep (any model)
Toyota Highlander
Honda Pilot
Acura MDX (01-06 version)
Nissan Murano
Lexus RX330
Nissan Xterra
Nissan Pathfinder
Toyota FJ Cruiser
Some car makers offer All Wheel Drive (its really similar to 4x4) on their sedans. I know that Audi offers AWD on all of their sedans and Volvo offers it on most of their sedans. I dont know if Volvo started offering AWD on their sedans in the past, but I know you can find a 00-05 Audi sedan with AWD. Infiniti has AWD on their G35 sedan. (i think they started offering it on their 04 model and they call a G35 with AWD a G x35)
where in northern Michigan can i find financial help to fix my car? or get a new one?
Land rovers are not renowned for being robust or cost effective to maintain, neither is the Cherokee for that matter. I know it sucks, but a Ford Explorer 4x4 may be a more prudent choice. Certainly a more cost effective solution.I want a comparative list of entry level cars in india(with price and features)?
Buy whatever you or your dad can afford..If it snows to much school will be closed..My parents have Jeep Grand Cherokee its about 5 years old and we get lots of snow in NJ it is the best investment my uncle is a mechanic and he says that Land Rovers are not worth the expense and yeah so Jeep Grand Cherokee is a great choice in my opinion
they changed the selling price on the title, and they want to sue me for the car?
I had a jeep ggrande cherokee but at 115K the transmission usually needs to be replaceede, a range rover is good as long as it is after 96 when ford took over otherwise the parts are expensive, what about a durango to the prices have come down and they have the extra seating.Which one should I purchase, a Ford Mustang GT 06 or Hyundai Tiburon GT 06?
the Cherokee is no good.i would look at the trail blazer with the locking rear end trust me i live in Mi. we get lots of snow.the locking rear end will help allot when going throw the snowI just can't make a decission on what car to buy....?
Ummmm, how about living closer to school? If you're thinking about buying a Land Rover, you're clearly not that "limited in budget."In Claifornia How do I give My Wife power of Attorney to sell my Jeep?
Live on campus.

Walk.
Ride a bicycle.
My car still has 4 years left on the loan, how can get rid of it and get a cheaper car?
Buy a used Honda Civil like other students.
How do you go about buying a new car?
Or, if you really want to live far from campus, so you have a long commute, have to drive, and have to drive through deep snow, buy any four wheel drive. You don't need a big gas guzzling SUV, especially since you seem to imply that you'll be commuting alone.
where is the cheapest country to buy used cars in western europe?
Also, you're from Florida and have probably never driven in the snow. Learn how. It's not the same as driving on dry or even wet roads.
Should I pay car taxes based on where I register the car and not where I bought the car?

I had my Discovery for three years now I've lived in upstate New York and Chicago where it snows a lot. LRs are very reliable in snow, never had a problem with snow storms , maintenance is free with warranty, excellent roadside assistance. But if you have a limited budget it's not a good idea...But if you're buying one, get a quote over at Paramus, New Jersey because alot of imported cars are being shipped to NJ port first .That's where I got mine, cheaper by 5grand...More Questions & Answers ...
