Question:
I have read several websites that state they can give you an insured dealer plate, access to dealer-only auctions, and process all transactions under an existing dealership for fees ranging from $1500 to $5000. Is this a scam or legitimate? I looked up one of these companies on the BBB website and they gave less than positive information on the subject. I could really use some help in this area as I would like to do this if it is legitimate.

If you gave any dealer $5000 I'm sure they might help you sell a car under their name. But you could become a salesperson and do better than that.
You might contact the sba.org to get some help becoming an automobile dealer in your state. They should be able to help you develop a business plan and point you in the right direction to the right licensing bureau.
