anyone have an old camper they want to give away?
I will tell you right now you are getting ready to get screwed! If you knew how the Used Car Industry operates you would never do business with them unless your Father/Mother is the owner. Second it is bad enough dealing with the New Car Industry buying a new car. The New car dealership will have a used car department as well. If a trade in car is good then the new dealership will keep it and sell it otherwise they wholesale it to the used car dealers. They in turn will mark the car up 25-35% leaving them room to bargain with you but still make a substantial profit. If you decide to go ahead and purchase from a UCD then look at the title and contact the original owner and find out its history and how much trade in allowance was granted to the owner when he trade it in. Also take it to a reparible body shop to see if it has ever been in a wreck or a flood! There are many new cars which can be purchased for 20K with a long time quarantee. A new guarantee is worth a lot of money.
In the end if you do purchase from a dealer then you take the title and transfer it yourself at the DMV. Their will be some kind of state tax as well.
how does taking over car payments work?
Depending onthe dealer, in addittion to the sale price, you have to pay the state tax, tag, and title fee, and there may be a processing fee anywhere from $100 to $300 that the dealer chargesWhere is the BEST place to Inspect a Car?
