Question:
Im selling my old paid off car to another girl. She cant pay me the whole ammount upfront, so I told her I would put a Lein on the title untill I get all the money.
Anyone know of any used car websites for the s.california area?
What do I need from her?
Answers:
Take her to your DMV and they will make sure you both do everything right then and there so you only deal with it once.
I would advise you to write up a contract and have her sign it stating all these things:
1. make, model and year of car (as well as vin #, mileage etc)
2. How much you're selling it to her for
3. How much she put as down payment to you
4. The amount left she owes you and how the payments are to be given (monthly, weekly etc).
Have her sign it and have it notarized (she should be there to sign it just before you get it notarized if not then get another person as a witness to sign it also).
Keep a copy and give her a copy and if she doesn't pay you anything else you can have proof that it was your car and you are taking it back. Notarizing might cost a little bit of money (usually not) and can be done at any bank.
she should go to a bank and get a loan for the remainder she owes you for. i see you getting screwed over.good luck
