Question:
How much mileage should you be looking for when buying a used car?
Answers:
How will refinancing my car effect my credit score?
The average person puts about 15k on a car in a year. If the car you are looking has averaged more than that, you might want to look at another car. It seems that imports can go trouble free for around 200k. You'll find that used Hondas and Toyotas are still really expensive even though they have over 100k miles on them. My experience has been that American cars start crapping out around 100k. Do some research on the Internet. When I was car shopping, I found a list of the best used cars to buy. What cars can you buy for....?
www.KBB.comI'd reckon no more than 60-70,000. The age of a car is measured even more by the mileage than the age in years. At this sort of mileage you can get few years service out of it before having to have your hand in your pocket continually.
