You can get a brand new Hyundai Getz for that money. 5 year warranty, no MOT for 3 years, servicing deal usually available. They're not short on features and come in a 5 door hatchback. I had a Megane once, absolute money-pit for 4 years, I think that's why you always see them speeding on motorways, they have to get home before they fall apart.
