local scrapyard, check the mileage of the vehicle it comes out of, usually , you can change the trans filter and oil after 90-95,000 miles or if it's dark brown, if it smells burnt , don't get it, don't worry , you'll know the smell of burnt , trust me. should cost you about $200 for a used one, and about 12-1500 for a rebuilt one, both should be guaranteed, the used : 30 days , the rebuilt : 25-30,000 miles, depending on the dealer you go to. you and a buddy can do it yourself if your good with tools, just be prepared to get dirty and skin a few knuckles, but have fun and good luck.
