I have known lots of people who have walked away from accidents driving Ford vehicles. they are built to withstand accidents and they don't have styrofoam bumpers.

The answer to your question is up to your opinion. All American cars are well built, high quality vehicles. My personal favorite is Chrysler. I have had three new Chryslers and never had any quality issues. Regardless of what others may think, Toyotas, Hondas, etc, built in the US are not American cars. They are also not the best built cars. Check some of the quality surveys and you will see that the Americans (GM, Ford, Chrysler Group) have closed the quality gap.Whats the best make of a small SUV?
