Smart car question...?

Question:
If I reserve a smart car and get it in early '08, do you think i could resale it for more than the purchase price? There should be a high demand,because you can't get one with out reserving it.
Or will it depreciate as soon as I get it? (like driving it off the lot). Any ideas would be helpful. Thanks!
