Combined mileage is over 300,000 miles for the two civics we own, and never a problem with either one. My daughter has 16inch wheels and a very nice sound system, and it is a nice ride. Insurance on the civics has been very reasonable and the gas mileage is great. Look into buying a used civic.

I agree with everyone who has pointed to the honda civic. And there are different kinds of civics that may fit your stylish cute needs. However, if you wanted to go a different route, and still get something safe that most other kids won't have, get a Saab. japanese cars are the way to go. If you have some cash to spend, check out the honda s2000, or a car like a bmw. If your in the normal price ranch, honda civic, scion tc, honda accord or my personal favorite, a toyota celicai think BMW m series and Pontiac gto's they never be old collectible or let say they are always top on lists.
