If you purchase a car in Nov. should the ball joints need replacing in Dec.?

The front driverside tire fell off. Ball joints and tie rod ends were replaced. Would suing the dealer who refused to pay for repairs be fair? Suspension was checked as being legal on the window sticker.this is a used 1996 car.

1st thing 1st what kind of car was it? some cars had recalls on the ball joints for example dodge durango's and there pick-ups. Next is how many miles are on the car? it is some thing the dealer should replace or at least help u with! if it was me i would be pissed!! your talking at least 400 $ to fix this problem! U can look on the web for the recalls of your car. Just type in the year, make and model then recalls.

If you look closely at the window sticker, you see something like a 30 day warranty. In that warranty, you'll probably find language saying that all running parts are under warranty but the seller is limited to paying only 10% of the replacement cost and the buyer 100 % of the labor providing the work is done at his garage.

I bet it is a blazer. Am I right? Yes the ball joints should be replaced becasue they are junk. Should the dealer pay, only if they gave you a written warning, which I am sure they did not do becasue u bought the car off some ghetto Mexican lot. You should have a mechanic check any vehicle u buy, its your own fault for being taken advantage of, nobody elses.
