Question:
Infiniti dealer is giving me $5000 off their lowest price for an Fx35. The car was used in the dealership as a "demo" vehicle and already has 5000 miles on it. I test drove it. It drives just like new and looks/ feels like a brand new car.
Warranty wil start the day I buy and it still has 4yrs/ 60K mile factory warranty
What is the best vehicle that can handle high amounts of milage?
But I am a bit unsure whether to buy. (buyers dissonance i guess)
- Is it a good idea to buy this one?
- What issues should be considered while buying such a car

I'm looking to buy a car (but it has to be a GM). Any suggestions?
If you have done your homework and feel the price is right then you got absolutely nothing to worry about.Dealers allow staff to demo vehicles up to max 10K before being grounded, and will be registered as a new vehicle the day being sold.
Which shocks should I buy? Please help.?
I would have the car checked out by an independent mechanic, if it checks out then I would go for it. My best friends dad always bought his cars this way and never had any with any issues. He generally sold them all around 135,000 miles.I would definitely go for it.
Make sure you check for paint scratches, and if it drove just fine then it should be alright.
i want to buy a car which one should i buy beetwen a freelander and a honder vcr?
To play Dev's advicate,, how do you know they are giving you "$5000 off their lowest" price for an Fx35, because they are telling you so? Go to a competitors dealership. and see what price you can get for a comprably equiped FX35- ie, act as though you are going to buy it, armed with this info, go back and make a offer. What would you like to hear in a follow up letter?
I get to use my demo for 7500 miles, then it must be sold. We give that car away, meaning at cost or at times less than cost. Generally demos are good bargains.best second hand car on the road?
you mentioned the warranty starts the day you bought it. That i believe is incorrect. The vehicles warranty will be from in service date. Meaning, you will have the remainder of the 4 years and the remainder of the 60K warranty.

A few suggestions:
Where I can Buy 4x4 Ambulances...Toyota o Nissan Brands?
Inspect the vehicle for any signs of body/paint repairs. Demos, while I won't say often, are certainly more susceptible to have damages. See the link below for some sample pictures.
Range Rover or Jaguar convertible?
Also inspect for paint chips, dents etc.

Inspect the tires for excessive wear and check the wheels for dents, scratches etc.

Inspect the interior for damages such as torn or cut seats, cigarette burns or any other interior damages. (If any are found make sure to either accept it as part of the price or have the dealership promise to repair--In writing and not verbally.
do you think i should buy this car or look else where?
Any damages found will not be covered by warranty and will be the dealerships repsonsibility to correct, so be careful if the salesperson say's that "it's under warranty"
Want to know the book value of my car?
As mentioned above, any items they promise to repair must be in writing.
The warranty start date may not be the actual date you purchase and may have started when the vehicle was first registered as a demo, to protect your self you should either aske the service department to run a VIN check, which will show the warranty start date or even better, call Infiniti and ask.

I'd also do some price checking and comparisons as well, perhaps with other dealerships.
