Do You Think It Will Sell at This Price or Is Too Much??

Question:
I have a 2000 ford taurus with about 140K miles on it, and was thinking about trying to sell for 3K...The back bumper on the passenger side is dented but besides from that, everything else is fine...Do you think it has a great chance of being sold at such price?

Answers:

You can sell your car without a v5! it says on the dvla web page?

no one's gonna want that many miles on a car. Especially, a Ford. I would try $1200. But You might just have to break it down and sell it for parts at a junk yard. Or take it to a dealer, and trade it in for a nice car.

How do I sell my car to a private party with money still owed on it ?

Or have you considered, donating it to a nonprofit organization? They will give a huge tax write off, for it. And it's the nice thing to do

That's the industry standard for setting prices - you can specify what options the car has. This isn't necessarily how much you can get for your car, but it is a good starting point.

Question about price of car?

The most important thing is how well it was maintained - have maintenance records available (if you have them) to show potential buyers. Make sure it is cleaned up, and maybe do a little extra maintenance to it so you can tell them it just had an oil change, new filters, maybe plugs and wires. That stuff will only cost you a couple bucks, but will make the car run better, and possibly get you more money for it.

Wondering about a neon?

i'm looking for a car soon, and i think that that's alot of money for all the miles it has on it. i don't think i'd purchase a vehicle with that amount of miles for more that $1000.-$1500.
that's just my opinion though.

Wht does it mean on an estimating payment site when it asks for "Dealer Accessories" for a car?

Too much mileage. You could ask for $3K to see if someone pays it, but there's a great chance that you'll have to go down. I say $2K would be a decent offer.

What is Financing a car?

It all depends on how you word it as well, but back yourself up by checking out kbb.com. if it is sound mechanically and the only issue is the bumper you can try for good condition and drop about 700-1000 because thats the price to replace and paint such bumper. As for the milleage state whether it is city or highway miles as well, sometimes it can help because city driving is harsher. But make sure that you also check out any recalls or manufacture defect issues into your price. nowadays people may know a thing or two before winding up with a lemon. Just my 2 cents.

Need a loan?
