Question:
I really want a 07' Prius, but I was talking to my dad and he was saying that only one engine could work at a time, and living in Florida where you use your A/C 88% of the year that would mean that I would be using the gas engine all the time pretty much, and completely voiding the point of it.Wouldn't that be putting just as much emisions in the air as any other car? My main reason for wanting a hybrid is for the environment, not for the gas, but I just want to know if it is worth the extra $5,000 I would be spending.

How do i get out of a car loan?
If your primary concern is that the gasoline engine will be running to power the air conditioning, don't worry. The 2nd generation Prius (2004 forward) has a fully electric air conditioning system, and the power steering is also electric. Yes, the gasoline engine will run more frequently due to the increased battery load from the AC, but it will not run continuously. You'll probably have to own the car for 10 years for it to provide a financial payoff, but environmentally, the reduced emissions area very real benefit.I heard the price of the car is actually more than what fuel you would save by just driving a regular car.
Should i buy honda civic-96 with 100,000 miles on it?
depends on how u look at it money wise it probably not worth it. but in a regular cat the motor runs 100% of the time...you will still get great mileage and i can tell u want to do it..every hybrid bought is a statement to the car co,s and people that the status quo is not acceptable...sorry dad..follow what u feel.Honestly, I have not heard anything good about the new hybrid cars. I think the idea of the car is outstanding. Driving while saving the environment, thats pretty cool. I dont think it would put as much into the air because no matter how much gas you use its still saving the environment. I don't think it is a gas issue, but that it doesnt give off as much smoke and other things. However I think your dad brings up a good point about all the gas you would use in the car because of the AC, but wouldn't you use that in a regular car as well? I myself couldn't afford and extra $5000 on top of gas prices and the price of the car but if its something that you really want I say go for it. There isn't too many times in our lives that we can just afford to get a car so make sure it is really want you want. Good Luck!
Anybody out there have an old rust bucket car that's reliable and very cheap?
If you do a lot of stop and go city driving, the hybrid will pay off in gas savings and lower emissions, whether you use the AC or not. That's because every time you slow down the battery is recharged. If most of your driving is on the freeway, you won't save much. You have to get the federal rebate for it to pay off though, otherwise the price premium is too much.Cheapest place( www. ) to buy a B18b engine and turbo?
