It depends on the car, but overall that sounds like a great price to me. Then again, you better hope you aren't getting a piece of crap that doesn't work...I äm new to ebay and need help...?
The tax is the largest of this amount. If the sales tax in your area is 7%, a $25000 car would have sales tax of $1750.00.Irritating AA advert on this page.what happened to grammar?
Sounds reasonable for tax, tags & title.
Is it cheaper to buy a car in your home state or out of state?
thats fair if the car was around 30k. $200 freight is cheap. Tax title and tags will cost $300.If this is a new car in the U.S., the transportation cost is listed on the sticker and is part of the sticker price. The extra $200 is not a fair charge. All vehicles are required by Federal Law to have the transportation cost on the sticker. Sounds like the dealer is trying to "bump" you up the extra $200.
As for the TT&L, it depends a little on the state you are located in. For example, Texas has a tax rate of 6%. Other states can be higher and some states have no sales tax at all. If you are in Texas and are buying a $30,000 car, the taxes are $1800. My dealership charges a $50 title and documentation fee. Most good dealers charge about that in the Dallas area. Tag fees are determined by the state. In Texas the vehicles size and gross vehicle weight (GVW) set the tax rate. For example, a new 1/2 ton Dodge pick-up will cost about $70. A new Dodge Nitro would cost about $57. I hope this helps - Gary
