ok, I have an 2005 Limited Edition Ford Escape, black with tan leather interior. 47000 km, but it sucks gas (18.4 L/100 km). I am looking at a new VW Jetta (2007) (white, with very dark winodws). 150hp 5 speed manual, sunroof, no leather.
Should i trade off the escape, or keep it. What do you think of the escapes... the jettas'?

well there is always the basic ? of what are your uses for a vehicle, do you need a SUV to travel off-road occasionally or need that extra room? IF not then VW's are great cars..especially the jetta's...VW's do run a little more expensive than other brands but they are known for lasting forever...great engines.. and good overall quality. When making a decision also keep in mind the money you have invested in the Escape and the money you will have to invest if u do get the Jetta.Ford escapes are good cars..not my favorite but do have a nice look and get fairly decent ratings...on the other hand jetta's are a sharp car known for great overall quality...much luck in your decision hope this helped

Unfortunately, Volkswagen's recent repair records are not good, so unless the Ford has serious problems, I would suggest keeping it. We traded a Ford Taurus for a Honda Civic hybrid some months ago, and are pleased with it; it gets twice the gas mileage of the Ford.
