Need help with speakers!?

I have a 91 Celica GT and I was wondering what size of speakers I would need? and if so what type would be the best like brand and watts or whatever. haha I have a 2 12' type S and a alpine v12 amp something that would work with that I want the audio clear and nice sounding spending around 360 canadian

go to www.crutchfield.com and enter in your car info there. there it will tell you all the size speakers u can get w/o cutting. but if u do want to buy from there, scout around for better prices, b/c they are usually expensive. try www.sonicelectronix.com as well. both excellent places!

as for wattage, your going to want to look at the rms output of each channel of the amp, and your not going to want to go under that by much, as you will blow them. on avg, speakers will be about 50w rms, so if ur amp does over that, then just leave them on the original wires to the HU. or get a small amp. i know it sounds retarded but i got a $50 200w 2ch amp at walmart (VR3) and im using my 6.5"s under my armrest on it, but have my 4 6x8's hooked to my kenwood HU. god i love the quality. also have 2 12's in the trunk hooked to a 1600w amp. lol lookin to sell a 4000w amp i have as well. but good luck man!

If you're upgrading your speakers, make sure to amplify them. New speakers are not worth running off stock head unit power. Also, are you looking for co-axials or components?
